Bob Chapman on Gold and Silver discount trading 25 Octb 2010

Bob Chapman wrote in the International Forecaster of the 20th October 2010 :"...One thing we can guarantee is dollar devaluation, versus other currencies and gold and default. This is another lock Americans are going to have to deal with. Social Security and Medicare are already in default. Why do you think government wants to steal your retirement plans? How else can they keep them going with other government spending, such as wars of endless duration and creating employment in a staggering economy? The bank known as Washington has already been broken.

Even Mr. Bernanke, Chairman of the Fed, tells us today’s deficits are unsustainable, but few want to listen. It is just like in 1967 when we predicted that free trade, globalization, offshoring and outsourcing would be used to deliberately destroy the US economy, and no one wanted to listen. It has been a policy that has cost the dollar 98% of its purchasing power. What do you think gold, silver, platinum, palladium and commodities are telling us?...."

Bob Chapman We See Totally Surreal Markets

Bob Chapman interview with www.contraryinvestorscafe.com. 20 Oct 2010

An excerpt from Bob Chapman's weekly publication The International Forecaster :
October 20 2010: US dollar finding a temporary bottom, gold, silver, and commodities continue to make sense, mortgage scandals, surreal markets, dollar devaluation guaranteed, record deficits, US finally tries to live within its means.
As we write, the US dollar is in the process of trying to find at least a temporary bottom at 76.50 and to launch a countertrend rally. We would think a rally back to 80 is achievable, but we do not believe it’s sustainable - only some stabilization through the election. Japan drew a line in the sand at 82 and finished last Friday trading at 81.37. That does not smack of success, but we see improvement over the next two weeks.

Alex Jones talks with intelligence officer Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer who has says that the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency failed to properly evaluate intelligence on supposed 9/11 hijacker Mohamed Atta. Shaffer's allegations subsequently became known as the Able Danger controversy. In September, it was reported that the Pentagon had destroyed 9,500 copies of Shaffer's book Operation Dark Heart. Shaffer currently serves as the Reserve G6 Assistant Chief of Staff, Communications and Technology of an Army Reserve division. He received his B.A. in political science and environmental studies from Wright State University in 1986. Bob Chapman : gold, silver and commodities make sense in this negative environment

Bob Chapman on A Marines Disquisition

An excerpt from Bob Chapman's weekly publication The International Forecaster of the 20th October 2010..."...This is why gold, silver and commodities make sense in this negative environment. Where else can you go that is safe, as countries are most all developing beggar-thy-neighbor policies? We must say the eurozone has refrained from quantitative easing, but how long can that last? The euro just rose from $1.19 to $1.40, and the 12% to 15% price advantage for exports is in good part gone. Germany and other members will continue to see falling exports and that will put great pressure on the ECB to loosen up and perhaps to reduce interest rates. We are seeing one reflationary cycle after another in most nations and that does not solve the problems. We have seen that in the US with the Bush stimulus, then QE1. That is why QE2 is futile. All it does is enable higher gold, silver and commodity prices. The gold and silver markets have been a lock since June of 2000, or for 10 years. Compounded annual gains of almost 20% a year. These kinds of profits have existed nowhere else over that period. In fact nothing comes close and it is going to continue. What you are seeing is classical economics at play. Not only are they an inflationary, hyperinflationary and deflationary depression play, but they are as well the ultimate currency play. The only entity or currency that has no debt or encumbrances. Today we even have ETFs, that are supposed to have physical gold and silver, but instead are loaded with derivatives. We had best hope the derivatives market doesn’t fold, because if it does all the players therein will have some serious problems, as well the highly leveraged LBMA and Comex....."

Bob Chapman : Russia and china are strong Gold buyers

Bob Chapman on Gold and Silver discount trading 18 Oct 2010

Bob Chapman wrote on the International forecaster of the 13th october 2010 :....Russia has been a persistent gold buyer both of domestic production and in world markets. China has bought domestic production, but has not been aggressive as Russia in world markets, choosing a subtle market approach. We believe China will have to become much more progressive in the markets as their dollar holding rise, unless of course, there is a third world war. It is not difficult for China to use intermediaries to buy, as they have done in the past. China strongly markets both gold and silver to its citizens particularly in exchange for dollars. As a result of this Chinese approach, the overall BRIC approach and buying by the rest of the world, control of gold trading will soon be at an end. You might say how do we know this? It is a good question. Markets are not scientific they are an art form and we have been deeply involved in this gold and silver venue for over 50 years. As time passed you know what to look for and what to expect. That is how we project what should happen. The long study of finance, monetary policy and the desire for total world control have allowed us to back into what we believe will happen. For the past 21 years we have done that and have been right 98% of the time. Consequently we have an excellent opportunity of continuing to be correct....."

Bob Chapman on Mortgage Cisis- The Banks are Bankrup

Bob Chapman wrote in the international forcastyer of the 13th October 2010 : ".....Little or nothing was done about derivatives and that is where the trouble also lies, as well as in structured assets based upon corporate and Treasury debt. These are being sold to retail clients based on higher yields, which also involves subprime debt and auction rate securities. You would think these fools would have learnt something after watching the terrible losses of the past few years. Obviously not, they are determined to lose their investments. That brings us back to our old adage, never, ever, ever chase a yield, it can only end in losses. Worse yet, there are no real after markets in these securities. You are at the mercy of the seller. Another problem is that the regulators do not even know this is going on. That is understandable. If you file a formal complaint concerning naked short selling they are abusive and ignore you. This follows the arrogance of the Fed and the SEC to listen to warnings from the financial communities that subprime mortgages; ABS, MBS and CDOs were toxic bombs about to explode. They as well refused to look into the legalistics of the mortgages, the packaging of the bonds and the obvious phony rating systems proffered by S&P, Fitch and Moody’s. Worse yet, they have for the past few years been guaranteeing the mortgages via Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and FHA that started the problems in the first place.:...to read more click here >>>>

Bob Chapman : the dollar will fall

Bob Chapman on Radio liberty 10-11-10

Bob Chapman wrote on the International Forecaster of the 13th sept 2010 :"....In reaction to this massive monetary onslaught the dollar will fall, the stock market will hold its own, the Treasury-Agency markets will remain relatively unchanged, commodities will rise and gold and silver will increase in value exponentially. All the funds created have to have someplace to go and it certainly won’t be into real estate with its massive inventory overhang in spite of historically low interest rates. Once in place, whether it is QE2 or QE3, the time frame will be squeezed probably into a 3-year window, or less. The election may change the makeup of Congress and the Senate, but the Fed’s direction is set. They have no other choice other than what they are doing to extend the time line of collapse. These policies won't work and all the elitists are aware of that. Within three years we should have a crunching deflationary collapse. Interest rates would rise and bonds fall, the stock market would collapse, commodities would hold their own or perhaps give up some gains and gold and silver being the only remaining real money would hold their own or move higher. We might add that the LBMA, Comex and GLD and SLV would have long before collapsed. Confidence in the system will have been crushed...."

Bob Chapman : The Gold Rally just started

BOB CHAPMAN-Dr Deagle Show 13 Oct 2010

Bob Chapman wrote on The international forecaster of 13th Oct 2010 : " What is the Fed doing with paper, Fed liquidity in question, the dollar will fall, no exit strategy for the crisis to come, worst areas still unregulated, forecasting strong gold and silver for the next four months, real inflation already a threat, IMF fails to deal with currency frictions.
The question keeps swirling around regarding the Fed and just how much Treasury paper they can buy from the market under current rules. Our guess is about $1.7 trillion. A good part of that may well be in notes, which will probably keep long dated rates low. On the other hand they may increase the current limit, and buy everything in sight. That probably means the 10-year T-note could fall from its current level of 2.50% yield to 1.5% yield and mortgages, as we stated before could fall to 3.38% on the 30-year fixed rate loan. This kind of spirited buying would tend to crowd out other buyers forcing them into corporates, foreign bonds, commodities and gold and silver, as well as back into the stock market. This kind of policy means major monetization, higher inflation and perhaps eventually into hyperinflation. Needless to say, this is a very dangerous game. A plunge into a monetary no man’s land. The liquidity that will be set loose in the POMO market will be enormous and the avalanche will begin early next year and it will cause asset price inflation. These antics will also suppress the value of the dollar forcing a test of 71.18 and perhaps breaking that long-term support level...."

gold and silver will soon explode in price

World-wide housing real estate crash coming soon, sell now especially in British Colombia

If you own a home in Canada and owe more than you actually own, now may be a good time to "jump out" of your debt and ride the low cost real-estate coming our way. Especially if you live in British Colombia.

this clip was taken from an interview with bob Chapman from the International forecaster, someone I follow very closely and have found to be very good at predicting coming events in the markets including the precious metals market.
He's not right every time but this time I totally agree with his point of view, especially considering how 85 percent of Canada's GDP is connected to the USA's economy.

Governments are creating money and credit out of thin air

Bob Chapman
Bob Chapman wrote in the International forecaster of September 29 2010:"All the government has to do is request that the Fed purchase their debt and they do so by creating money and credit out of thin air. This is monetization and it’s inflationary. This is how government pays for mandated services. The taxes for such were already extracted from the public, but unbeknownst to most of the public these funds have already been spent. This is how Social Security, Medicare and all those other bailout services are being funded. Foreigners are buying only 25% of US government debt. The slack is and has been assumed by the Fed, which the people eventually get to pay for. Today we are in a lull, a sort of magical time, when the very superstructure of the system is being destroyed, but it is not particularly noticeable. The economy, we might add, is going sideways, with the assistance of $2.5 trillion a year. That can last for several years but in the end inflation goes rampant and sometimes becomes hyperinflation as we have seen in the Weimar Republic and most recently in Zimbabwe. Inflation, as consumers can attest to, is already climbing and the roar of higher inflation is not far off. One of the events that will kick that off will be bank lending of the funds they hold, some $1.5 trillion, which presently are sterilized, but become monetized once they are lent or spent. We can assure you that day is just over the horizon. This, once raging, will cause political, social and perhaps military conflict. If you look back in history when such problems existed those in power create another war or they subject their own people. Historically this hasn’t been difficult, but today is different, because talk radio and the Internet have allowed people to know and understand what has been and will be forced upon them and by whom."

Bob Chapman : The American (gold) market is still tepid

Bob Chapman on The Residential and commercial real estate

Bob Chapman wrote on the International forecaster of the 6th of October 2010 :"Residential and commercial real estate is again headed lower. July was weak and it usually is one of the best months of the year. Medium home prices fell in August 0.6%, off for four of the past five months and at a 7-month low. No one really knows what inventory figures really are due to a lender shadow inventory. Officially it is 11.6-months, four months is normal, and it could easily be 18 months, if not more. During the coming year home prices will fall another 10 to 20 percent. Those numbers will be exacerbated by subprime and ALT-A loans recently written by agencies to keep housing afloat."

Bob Chapman - Dont Trust The politicians
Bob Chapman wrote in The International Forecastter of the 6th Oct 2010 :" October 6 2010: Joblessness dogs the economy, its worse than the 1930's today, suffering and pain on the streets, no incentive to create jobs, living standards continue to fall, pray the incumbents are defeated, blame for the Flash Cras, TARP sequels coming.
Joblessness still dogs the economy, which needs 125,000 jobs monthly just to keep up with population growth. As we await September’s statistics we wonder if they’ll be as bad as August’s loss of 54,000 jobs? This unfortunate situation has been going on for more than three years; 22 million Americans do not have jobs and some 10,000 million additional are forced to work part-time, some 34 hours a week. Having real unemployment at 22-5/8% makes recovery very difficult. That figures is U-6 less the bogus birth/death ratio. It’s not surprising that credit card and mortgage debt go unpaid as default and foreclosure accelerate. These conditions are certainly a drag on sales. As those sales falter businesses lay off more workers, which exacerbates the problem....etc..."

Bob Chapman , in Gold and Silver you buy and Hold

Bob Chapman on Gold and Silver discount trading 01 Octb 2010

Bob Chapman wrote on The International forecaster of the 29th Sept 2010 :"Unbeknownst to most gold and silver shares, coins and bullion have been under accumulation since 2000, by the smart money. Gold alone on a compound basis has been up just under 20% annually. It should also be noted that gold demand rose 36% in the second quarter.

Several events of recent vintage have changed the atmosphere in which gold and silver reside. Six or eight months ago the major NYC banks arranged for a major rally in the dollar, which ran from 74 to 89. It is now back to 79. The problems in Greece were the catalyst, as well as other EU-euro zone member problems. This caused the euro to fall from $1.50 to $1.19. It is now at $1.35. This temporarily boosted the dollar. About 11 weeks ago we predicted a new quantitative easing program in the US and it was put into operation about a month ago. This is the way the Federal Reserve again intends to keep the US economy from collapsing. The result of this move is that again foreign central banks are moving to cheapen their currencies, because the dollar is again falling in value. That is reflected in the increasing foreign exchange dollar reserves of many countries. What they do to cheapen their currencies in US dollar terms is to print their own national currency and purchase dollars. With those dollars they buy US Treasuries or spend them. That process cheapens their currency in dollar terms. This is called intervention...."

This is a scene we’ve observed since the early 1960s, the effect of debt on the economy and the nation and in turn on its currency. The result of the profligacy over all those years is the biggest bull market in history in gold and silver. As we write gold is toying with $1,300 and silver with $21.50. Each day a new high is reached in spite of a pending options expiration and the perpetual market rigging and manipulation by the US government. "

There is no Gold at Fort Knox

Craig Hulet on Coast to Coast AM Sept 06 2010 : there is no Gold at Fort Knox

Craig B Hulet was both speech writer and Special Assistant for Special Projects to Congressman Jack Metcalf (Retired). He has been a consultant to federal law enforcement ATF&E of Justice/Homeland Security for over 20 years. Hulet served in Vietnam 1969-70, 101st Airborne, C Troop 2/17th Air Cav and graduated 3rd in his class at Aberdeen Proving Grounds Ordnance School MOS 45J20 Weapons. He remains a paid analyst and consultant in various areas of geopolitical, business and security issues.
Foreign policy analyst Craig B. Hulet discussed new rulings by the US government that infringe on people's privacy under the guise of the "War on Terror." In a recent incident, law enforcement placed a GPS tracking device on a person's vehicle, without a warrant. The court ruled that this was legal because the person's home wasn't gated off from the public, he reported. In another case, a woman was arrested and convicted for videotaping police making an arrest of her neighbor, he detailed. We're seeing that "more and more courts are ruling in favor of violations of our fundamental rights," especially our right to privacy, said Hulet.

Body scans at airports, and other locations are actually being kept on file, when initially people were told this wouldn't be done, he noted, adding that such scans are even being done through vans on the streets. "Once a government has been given a certain amount of power, it always seeks more," he cautioned. Unmanned drones are now being employed for surveillance on the US southern border, and Hulet suggested that it's just a matter of time before such drones are flying over major American cities. In the post 9-11 world, Americans have increasingly traded their liberty for security, he lamented.

It is interesting to watch Wall Street defy reality.

One of the things that astound us is that few professionals have seen this coming over the past 10-1/2 years, and even those that do believe do not think this is an earth-shaking event. What we are about to experience is an event that only occurs every 300 to 500 years. All we can imagine is that they have a very limited perspective of history and particularly economic and financial history.

Bob Chapman if you take real inflation Gold should be at $7700 dollars an ounce

Bob Chapman : buy Gold and Silver with both hands , because they are going much higher if you take real inflation Gold should be at $7700 dollars an ounce ...this is the chance of a life time , the price of everything else including Real Estate residential and commercial will collapse like in a depression and we are in a depression...

Bob Chapman on the International Forecaster of 22nd Sept 2010 :"
Fed makes its own rules, liquidity injections dont work, therapy proves costly, European banks broke, a return to austerity, Markets look for reflation, a broader net for SEC, Fanny and Freddie losses at around 400 billion, state pension death spiral. As quantitative easing again gets underway the failure of QE1 becomes more obvious. The crisis worsens and the illusion of any recovery is light years away. Over the past three years almost $13 trillion that we know about has been thrown down a rat hole to bail out banking, Wall Street, insurance and selected elitist entities. The dollar figure is probably much higher. We will never know, because the privately owned Federal Reserve makes its own rules. Everything they do is a state secret. The five successful quarters were only a mirage. The funds have been vaporized among lending and financial institutions worldwide. There has been no accounting and there never will be as long as the Fed is not audited and investigated. We are in an inflationary depression and have been since February 2009. Massive injections of liquidity do not work, nor have they worked for centuries under these conditions. You cannot resurrect an insolvent country in a system that is corrupt. The controllers of the US economy are about to lead the American economy and financial structure into a great dark pit. The US and the world is soon to face a global breakdown deliberately engineered by the forces of darkness. ..............".....read more at Theinternationalforecaster.com >>>>

Bob Chapman on the Yuan China Reserve Currency

Bob Chapman on the Renminbi China Reserve Currency (Aug-10)

Bob Chapman wrote in the International Forecaster of 22nd September 2010 :"We do not have exact figures of the Fed’s intervention in the MBS, CDO, GSE and Treasury markets it has to have been at least $2.2 trillion over a one-year period plus the last stimulus package, which puts the number at $3 trillion. Unfortunately it looks like that will have to be done all over again for another year and perhaps two years. You say, where does it all end? Well it doesn’t – it just gets worse as purchasing power falls at least 7% a year, wages remain stagnant and unemployment rises, as government and the Fed cannot stem deflation even by creating $3 trillion, or so, a year. This should give you an idea of the trouble we are in. In this process unfortunately the dollar is being destroyed. Just think of what will happen if China, Japan and Korea have to sell or want to sell dollars? Are we to see competitive monetization? Of course we are. Alliances are one thing and reality is another. As we said 17 months ago what you are seeing is a battle between the US dollar and gold for supremacy and gold has already won. Those who realize and understand this know where we are headed. Those who do not could lose it all. "
